Building Automation And Continuous monitoring yields a 17.76% Energy Saving per site annually.
It has become accepted industry-wide that Continuous Optimization results in significant energy savings. The National Research Council of Canada reports that savings of 5% to 25% are possible. As a trusted energy partner, Enerfrog Business Services analyzed the consumption data provided by our partners in order to verify the effectiveness of Continuous Commissioning Services. It was determined that sites with Remotely Monitored Building Automation Systems which were Continuously Commissioned by Enerfrog were yielding an average electrical utility savings of 17.76% over sites without Remotely Monitored Building Automation Systems (bas). Overall Electrical Consumption for the monitored sites has been trending down annually, while non-bas site consumption has been trending up.

An analysis of the electricity consumption for over 300 sites across the country over a five year period from 2010 to 2014 was completed. The Data was normalized by square footage which allowed a National and Provincial Average Consumption for BAS and NonBAS sites to be determined. The Analysis showed that the average annual electricity consumption of sites with Remotely Monitored Building Automation Systems is Lower than sites without BAS. The estimated saving was of 2.82 Kwh per Square Foot.
